Your PrestaShop store hasn't been maintained since June 2025.

That's when PrestaShop stopped supporting version 1.7. If you're still on it, you've been running unpatched for over a year. If you're on PHP 8.2, you have until December 31. If you're on 8.1 or older, you're already past it.

We take neglected stores over — upgrade the platform, upgrade PHP, fix the database, harden the server, and move you onto infrastructure we run and monitor. 30 days, fixed price.

SwiftForge Web is a specialist store-rescue agency, founded by Aleš Gaber — PHP since 1998, e-commerce since 2005, 400+ projects behind us. Small and senior-led: no account managers, no ticket queue, and we do one thing well.

Roughly half of all sites fail Core Web Vitals on mobile. Yours won't.

The store still makes money. Nobody is looking after it.

PrestaShop ended maintenance for version 1.7 when version 9 shipped in June 2025. PrestaShop 8 is now in extended support — critical fixes only, no new features. PHP 8.2 reaches end of life on December 31, 2026, and everything below it already has.

Meanwhile the agency that built your store moved to Shopify, or shut down, or stopped replying. Half your modules are abandoned by their authors, and one of them will break checkout during an upgrade. The server was configured once, by someone, and hasn't been touched since. Every change is a gamble because there's no staging and no rollback.

None of it is urgent, right up until it's the only thing that matters — usually on the busiest day of your year.

What a rescue includes

Platform upgradePrestaShop 1.7 or 8 to 9.1, or WooCommerce brought current. Staged, tested, with a rollback that works.
PHP upgradeTo 8.4 minimum. Supported through December 2028.
Module triageEvery module sorted: keep, replace, remove, or rewrite. Abandoned modules are the number one cause of a broken checkout after an upgrade.
Database workIndexes, slow queries, bloated tables.
Server hardeningFirewall isolation, IP whitelisting on remote database ports, log rotation.
Managed infrastructureYour store moves onto a stack that's monitored and tuned.

The offer

Stage 2from $6,000

Store Rescue

Fixed price, quoted at the end of Stage 1. Never quoted before. 30 working days. 50% on start, 50% on delivery. Guarantee: if the acceptance criteria are not met, the second 50% is not invoiced.

Stage 3$1,500/month

Managed Engineering

Month to month. No contract. No notice period. Begins the day the rescue goes live.

The guarantee. On the three templates named in your Stage 1 report — home, top category, top product — measured with Lighthouse mobile via the PageSpeed Insights API from a US test location, median of three consecutive runs:

LCP under 2.5 seconds · CLS under 0.1 · Total Blocking Time under 200ms · Lighthouse Performance score of 85 or better.

Baseline captured before any change, using the same method. Third-party scripts added after handover — analytics, chat, pixels, review widgets, A/B tools — are excluded. Real-user field data from the Chrome User Experience Report is reported monthly once 28 days of data exist, but is not guaranteed, because we do not control your traffic mix or your visitors' devices.

The 30 working days begin when we have SFTP or SSH, database, admin, DNS, and repository access — not at signature. The clock pauses on any client-side blocker, confirmed in writing.

Small and senior-led, on purpose.

No account managers relaying messages, no ticket queue, no sprawling generalist shop. Just a team that does one thing — rescue and run PrestaShop and WooCommerce stores — led by a founder who has been building e-commerce since 2005. When it matters, you reach someone who actually knows your store.

Questions

Where are you based?

Slovenia, in Europe. SwiftForge Web LLC is a US company so you can contract and pay in dollars. We hold 9am–4pm ET every business day for US calls, and our working morning is your overnight — which is when you want a migration running anyway.

Why hire a team in Europe?

You shouldn't, if what you want is a US agency with an office and an account team. You should if you want a senior-led team that has been inside PrestaShop's codebase since 2007, at the rate a US agency charges for a mid-level developer.

My store is a mess. Is that a problem?

It's the job. We don't take clean stores away from other agencies. We take the ones that were left behind.

How small is too small?

Below roughly $30,000/month in revenue a monthly retainer usually isn't worth it for you, and we'll say so on the call rather than sell you one.

What happens if you disappear?

Credentials stay yours. Code stays in your repository. Infrastructure is documented so another engineer can pick it up.

Do you work on Shopify?

No. PrestaShop, WooCommerce, and custom PHP only.
